Grandpa Luther Had A Farm…

My daughter and I sang this on the way home from school on Friday, I think it was my way of pumping myself up for what I new was going to be an incredible weekend on farm…

So, seriously folks- it was a beautiful weekend!  Oh my goodness, we couldn’t have had more perfect weather for Fall Fest and it certainly made up for that cold stuff we had last week!  I was so glad that we had such a fantastic group of visitors both Saturday and Sunday- it seemed as though everyone had a great time and enjoyed all that we had to offer- which makes all of our hard work well worth it.  Pumpkins, cornstalks, straw, and all of our market goods seemed to fly out the door- definetly going to have to restock for the coming weekend!  The hot new thing this year seems to be our “Corn Pool”- kids love taking a “dive” in and also our “Make & Take Scarecrow”.  Everyone had a great time putting together their own scarecrow with their children and showing off their handy work- I loved that folks brought their guys and gals in to the market so that I was able to see them- definetly were proud craftsman!

I posted a ton of new photos in the photo gallery that were taken by family members so you can see what you’re missin’. We hope to get you out here this weekend so that you can make some memories of your own with your family!  Also, as a friendly reminder, this Sunday the 17th we have Old Fashioned Farm Days.  Bring out the kiddos to see how people lived in the “olden” days, should be fun for young and old alike!  Hope to see you all there bright and early…weather is supposed to be beautiful again!

Happy Carving to all of you that already bought your pumpkins! =)  ~Sarah Luther
